Our first visit here, words can't describe what we thought we we first saw the cottage and its surroundings, far more beautiful than we ever imagined. The weather was fantastic, not a cloud in the sky - can't wait to return.

It is 20 years since I was last here, but Tan-y-clogwyn is timeless and little has changed. Lovely to bring our children here, a great place for my son's 10th birthday, making dens and fires and whittle bits of wood!! Lots of sights of the buzzards, house martins and swwallows. Ty Mawr is well worth a visit. So many walks locally to enjoy. If you want a beach, the one at Harlech is superb.

Anyone who holidays here at Tan-y-Clogwyn and returns does not need to be told of its magical qualities. This will be even more so for town and city folk. Peace and solitude 24 hours a day. No noise pollution, only the sound of nature. The neigh of a horse, the baa of a sheep, the screech of overhead buzzards and a dog barking in the distance.

A very relaxing holiday, every day was wonderful, it only rained on Sunday and Monday, all the rest of our holiday was sunny. We brought our border collie, Pippa on her first holiday, she loved it as much as us. We don't want to go home to Hampshire and we will come back again. We have been coming to North Wales for 18 years. This cottage and this wonderful valley, with our dog, is the best. A week is not enough

We came in search of peace and tranquility to help us rest and recuperate from many stresses and strains. We found a healing. This is a kindly old house and we found a soothing of the spirit. We have been to various cottages in Wales over the years and this is not only the best equipped, but has the best "feel". We were delighted to find so many books.

Another fantastic week!! Weather was kind, got thoroughly sun-burnt and now leaving with a fine sun-tan - who would have thought it? Bird life even better than usual. Redstarts nesting above the woodshed door, fledged whilst we were here and buzzards were nesting in the woods above the cottage.
