General

All beds have duvets, blankets and pillows. Visitors will need to bring their own towels and bed linen.

Mains electricity, large open fire, two night storage heaters and electric heaters heat the house. There is an endless supply of firewood to be found in the woods and there is a large woodshed attached to the house (saw and sawhorse provided!)

A private water supply is fed from mountain streams which is filtered for safety. Television cannot be received because of the mountain, but there is a gramaphone, records, playing cards and puzzles.

Due to the remote position of the house, we are unable to obtain cleaning help. Consequently, visitors are asked to leave the house clean and tidy and as they would like to find it. Ample cleaning materials and equipment are provided.

Changeover is at 6.00 p.m. on Sundays. Visitors are at liberty to telephone existing occupants to check if the house will be vacant earlier. You will be informed if the house if unoccupied prior to your visit, and you might have the option to take over on the Friday or Saturday.
